Yemen Runs Out of Fuel
This is not because it doesn't have its own oil resources, it does, but they are in the sparsely populated east of the country (Hadhramaut) which is currently being fought over by squabbling mercenaries paid by the Saudis or UAE, who are exporting that oil rather than supplying it to needy Yemenis, largely because they're not Yemeni, and thus have no national loyalties.
The genocidal Saudi strategy is to weaponise disease and starvation while deliberately bombing civilian infrastructure with weapons sold to them by the Anglo-US alliance. According to this recent article published by journalist Randi Nord, roughly 44% of children under the age of five are malnourished, that's 2.2 out of 5 million. As of this month, over 2 million people have been infected with cholera.
The Saudis are known "to carry out "double-tap" airstrikes that target ambulances, media crews, and EMTs following an initial airstrike on a civilian home or gathering. Last summer, warplanes struck a crowded fish market in Hodeidah and subsequently bombed the entrance to the hospital, killing 55 and injuring over 130".
Even if you donate money to charities that attempt to supply Yemen with food, they face the bureaucracy of the US-Saudi blockade, which spends weeks inspecting civilian ships looking for that mythical Iranian weaponry that they never find, and by the time it reaches Yemen, the food is often rotten.
Indeed, "last month, Sana’a officials and local NGOs revealed that the Saudi coalition had arbitrarily detained at least 13 ships filled with food, fuel, and medical supplies. These ships had already passed inspection in a neighbouring port yet Saudi authorities refused to allow the ships to dock and unload in Yemen’s Hodeidah port."
Find me a more cowardly war of aggression, I'll wait.
